How Neurofeedback Works

At Brain Awakening your Neurofeedback session begins with an an evaluation of the individual’s brain patterns. Performing an evaluation is a straightforward process which involves no more than connecting one end of a set of sensors to a computer, then placing the other end on the individual’s head in a variety of different locations in order to detect the energy patterns of the brain.

Brain activity is manifested in electromagnetic energy which can be measured. The energy is measured with tiny detection devices placed on the head. These brain energy detection devices are sophisticated sensors which contain a computer chip capable of picking up the tiny current of the brain in an entirely non-invasive manner. The brainwaves detected are replicated in a variety of colorful waveforms on a computer screen.

Through a process that takes approximately one and half hours, data is collected from the brain and then analyzed. The result is an evaluation which identifies where brainwave functioning is out of balance and produces a blueprint for the next steps. Having a look at the functioning of your own brain is an opportunity that most people find enlightening and encouraging.
Help With Anxiety

Every brain is unique. That's why we don't take a one-size-fits-all approach.

At Brain Awakening, we begin by getting to know how your brain is functioning and what you'd like to improve. From there, we create a personalized approach to neurofeedback based on your individual brain patterns and goals.

Step 1: Understand Your Brain

We begin with a personalized brain evaluation that gives us a visual look at your brain's activity. This helps us better understand your individual patterns and identify areas we may want to support.

Step 2: Create Your Personalized Approach

Your brain is unique, and your goals are unique too. We use the information from your evaluation to guide your neurofeedback sessions and create an approach that is tailored to you.

Step 3: Train Your Brain

During a neurofeedback session, you relax while your brain receives real-time feedback about its activity. With repeated training, the goal is to support your brain's ability to self-regulate and function more efficiently.

Step 4: Follow Your Progress

Your brain is always changing and learning. As you continue with your sessions, we can monitor your progress and adjust your training as appropriate to your goals.

A Personalized Approach to Brain Training

Whether you're looking to support better sleep, focus, memory, learning, relaxation or overall well-being, we start in the same place:
